My intention is to send unconditional love to everything and everyone, especially to past and future versions of myself.
I set down my duties, my shoulds, and my must,
I drop all my striving, I lessen my rush
I place my attention right here in my chest,
Where energy gathers and comes home to rest
(pause for 30 seconds or more—let it be long)
Now outward it flows like a river, a flood:
Unconditional love—pure, honest, and good
No ifs and no buts, no "only if you..."
No judgment, no fixing—just love flowing through
To stars and to strangers, to mountains and mice,
To things that are messy and things that are nice,
I send this acceptance: You're perfect. You're whole.
Exactly as is—yes, with body and soul
And here in my heart, I must also include
This odd, tender, imperfect learner of life
So I send love to ME without fixing or shame,
I'm perfectly human—and that's not to blame
Now backward through time, to the me-that-I-was,
To younger me-versions who struggled because
They hadn't yet learned all I've since come to know—
I wrap them in love from my here-and-now glow
Dear You-Who-Is-Me back when things were quite hard:
You're loved. You are strong. You're not broken or scarred
You'll make your way through to much brighter days—
Here's what I learned on the journey and ways
(add any guidance you wish to share)
Now forward through time to the me-yet-to-be,
To older me-versions with more life than me
I can't send you wisdom (you're wiser, it's true),
But I can send this: You are loved. I see you.
You're never alone in whatever you face,
The Universe holds you. You're held in this space.
Each moment keeps blooming, keeps opening wide,
Exactly as should, with me going for the ride
With unconditional love as my fuel and my friend,
I'm grateful. I'm full. And I trust how it bends.
(Now rest in this knowing. Let love have its say.)
